DESCRIPTION:Sir Knights\, \nPlease see the following message from our Worthy Master Ty Simmons regarding the upcoming Columbus Day Parade! (Columbus Day weekend events flyer is attached): \nWorthies All: \n  \nSince 1952\, Columbus Day has been a generations-old celebration honoring the Chicagoland Italian American Community. \n  \nThe Joint Civic Committee of Italian American (JCCIA) welcomes the Knights of Columbus to join in their celebration of the 72nd Annual Columbus Day Parade\, on Monday\, October 14\, 2024\, on State Street in Chicago. \n  \nThe day begins at 9AM with a mass at The Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii\, 1244 Lexington Avenue\, Chicago. \n  \nImmediately following mass\, there will be a reverent procession 1 block west in Arrigo Park for a wreath-laying ceremony\, at 10:30AM\, honoring Italian American war veterans. \n  \nThen board the busses to the parade opening ceremonies at 11:45 PM on the corner of State Street and Wacker Drive\, after which\, the parade will then commence south to Van Buren Street at 12:30PM. ABC7 will be broadcasting the parade live\, and live-streaming on abc7chicago.com \n  \nReboard busses to return to Arrigo Park and at 3PM gather for a reception at Casa Italia Festival Center\,1621 N 39th Ave.\, Stone Park\, for post-parade entertainment and delicious Italian food. All Free of Charge. \n  \nThis invitation has been graciously extended to all Knights.
